We don't typically think about race as being a phenomenon that exists in language.  Phenomena that exist in language are those held up by conversations and firmly held notions.  If you alter the conversations, you alter the reality.

Althea has numerous certifications in bodywork (Structural Therapy, CranialSacral Therapy, Masters Method of Psychophysical Reeducation), psychotherapy (Gestalt Institute, Hakomi Institute). Currently completing her  Yoga Teacher Certification, she also practices as an herbalist, acupuncturist, body worker and functional nutritionist. 

In 2000 she founded the Chicago College of Healing Arts, a school dedicated to teaching clinical herbal medicine and numerous other healing arts.   She also operates Glastonbury, an 80 acre United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary.

Dr. Shemuel Israel has practiced chiropractic for 37 years. He specializes in biological health care and uses chiropractic, functional diagnostic medicine, nutrition, lifestyle, and life design. He applies or refers to various supportive techniques to help people restore healing energy relationships and free themselves from physical and emotional pain without using drugs or medicines. 

He joined the North Lawndale Greening Committee in 2000, is a member of the Bionutrient Food Association, and is engaged in promoting health through the growth and ingestion of quality food.
